Sadaqatul Fitr, also known as Zakaatul Fitr, must be paid anytime before the end of Ramadhan (before the Eid prayer). According to Hadith (Abu Dawood), Sadaqatul Fitr as obligatory; it purifies the fasting person, and is a means of feeding the poor.
